photo of Nicola YeelesI am a freelance writer and teacher, having trained as a news reporter and worked on various freelance and in-house projects for over ten years.

I regularly write on higher education, education technology, grassroots theatre and travel, although it’s always a delight to take on new work which interests me.

NCTJ-qualified and trained with Cleland Thom journalism training services, I have an MA in English from University College London and a first-class BA (Hons) degree in English Literature from the University of Bristol.

I’m also a qualified English language teacher (CELTA, Diploma in TESOL)  and regularly teach English using customised curricula to suit their needs, aligned to international standards.  Find out more about my teaching here.

Please take a look around my site for more information on the kind of work I do.  If you have any questions or would like a reference, please do contact me or visit my blog.
